🪅 Guild Wars 2 Best Class 2022 Reddit
Honestly just choose which ever one you feel. Guild Wars 2 does a great job of making sure that each class can complete content solo with ease. However, there are some classes that are harder to learn than others, such as mesmer, elementalist, or engineer as there are a lot of different skills to learn and use. But you choose what feels right
Quick and heal brand are both good but dragon hunter is possibly the worst dps spec in pve. I know im going against the grain, but Engineer is probably the best overall class in PvE. I dont think any other class has a heal alac, heal quick, dps alac, dps quick, straight condi dps, straight power dps.
Warrior and Guardian use it a lot in PVE for melee, Mesmer uses it for ranged attacks. I think Necro with greatsword feels good, but its just way too slow. I was thinking on DH, dunno what is it with ranger but I cant like the class :S idk why (never played it tho) soulbeast is a better version of pve thief, and you can reuse your gear and looks.
It's a mishmash of statements pulled from the community that may or may not be true depending on the gamemode/context, and some are outright false. I'm not following their ranking criteria either - class balance is pretty good these days, and any "proper" tier list will vary by role and gamemode.
What is interesting about the Revenant is that, it's kind of different apart from the other heavy classes, i.e. Warrior and Guardian. Like many said, it is a bit challenging driving the Revenant at first, but once you get the hang of it, I believe it is more fun playing Revenant.
Warrior: It's the one I'm most interested in, I never played it but it seems easy and fun to play. The lack of cool particle effects and the heavy emphasis on banners worries me a bit tho. Guardian: I had a level 80 Guardian before all the elite specs and delete it because I didn't really like it, too much support oriented for my taste. I guess
If a new Ranger had to pick a race today though, Sylvari may be safest bet in case Rangers meta shifts back towards condi. Other issues also came up with Human Thief w/ Melandru, and Sylvari Mesmer. For a little bit people were asking racials to be banned in instanced content. Interesting info, thanks.
The classes and spec options within the classes are varied enough that pretty much any class fantasy you enjoy playing is represented, and viable, for core. Visually, the elementalist is the most fun. Mechanically also the elementalist. But real gameplay, ele is hard work and can be frustrating.
Thief would be one of my most played classes but a lot of that is for daily crafting, home instance gathering and guild hall gathering. Sometimes other materials too since she has my glyph of bounty. Necro, ranger, engi and formerly rev stats are also potentially heavily polluted by bots.
Best support is different from healer, Guardian is the best support class as you need the stability it provides it also has a couple of small ish heals. It's complex (in a good way!) because support in the context of WvW is rather nebulous, with many builds possessing distinct advantages and disadvantages.
Ranger has probably one of the best elite specs in EoD, through your Jade Mech you can give Alacrity along with a laundry list of other boons to allies and actually have your Mech scale from your stats (something Ranger actually needed) and customize its skills. You should give it a try. 12. castillle.
Weapons do matter but for open world it's not as important. As for good beginner classes Warrior, Ranger and Guardian are great picks. Necromancer is an easy class but it teaches bad habits because it's so tanky it tells you AoE isn't as dangerous as it actually is. Necromancer is a safe class to boost once you get the hang of the game though.
Engineer CAN be complex but scrapper is pretty easy and very effective at what it does. It's notable for being the easiest to tank with low toughness and very good damage at the same time and providing quickness. The heal variant is a little more difficult to be effective but also very good. Id say go for it.
The most popular in pugs would be Druid, Heal Firebrand and Alacrity Renegade. It's up to you to decide what you want to play with. I sometimes pick condi Reaper, power Scrapper, power Spellbreaker power Renegade and it is fine. Meta is meta, most people won't care what you play if you pull decent numbers.
